Abstract
Depending on temperature and humidity of air, the stalk mot develops in the conditions of Uzbekistan by 2-3 generations. The per cent of salty pl of late sowing maize reaches up to 50%, thus 2-4 larvae can be found on each damaged plant. The effective insecticides for maize protection are: avaunt ? 0,4 l/ha, lanneyt ? 1,5-2 l/ha, engeo-K ? 0,3 l/ha, rimon ? 0,06-0,1 l/ha, caragen ? 0,15-0,2 l/ha (1 picture, 13 lit.).
