Abstract

This paper was aimed at examining the significance of spirituality on organizational performance on staffs of Farmex Meyer Limited. The objective of the study was to determine the effect of spirituality on organization's profitability and productivity. The study employed primary data (questionnaire) from respondents with the total of ninety three (93) respondents. The data so generated has been analyzed using standard multiple regression model on SPSS. Based on the findings, the study revealed that there was a significant effect of spirituality (r= 0.546, f=16.542 p<0.05) on organization's profit. Therefore we reject the null hypothesis and accept the alternative hypothesis which states that spirituality influences organization's profit. Also there was a significant relationship between spirituality and organization's productivity (r=0.286, f=3.479, p<0.05). Therefore we reject the null hypothesis and accept the alternative hypothesis which states that spirituality at work affects organization productivity. The study concluded that work-life spirituality influences and affects organization's performance which was measured by profitability and productivity. The study recommends that future research should be carried out to explore why employees view their organizations as not having spiritual values, when these values indeed appear to be included in their visions, mission statements, core values and beliefs
