THE PROBLEM OF PERINATAL MORTALITY IN THE CONTEXT OF THE MODERN DEMOGRAPHIC SITUATION (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE REPUBLIC OF MORDOVIA)

The problem of perinatal mortality is especially relevant now, when there is instability of the demo- graphic situation in the country. This work is devoted to a statistical analysis of perinatal mortality as one of the key indicators of the reproductive health of the population (for example, the Republic of Mordovia). The struc- ture of perinatal mortality has been established, its dynamics over the past 10 years (2009–2018) has been exam- ined, a comparative analysis has been made with the indicator of perinatal mortality in the whole country. The reasons for perinatal mortality and recommendations on the activities of the obstetric care system to reduce the rate of perinatal mortality are described
