Abstract
Leopold Caro came from Polish, patriotic, insurgent family. He was remarkable economist and social activist in Reborn Poland. Research on economy of Poland and other countries was integrated into extensive social philosophy based on Catholic social doctrine. Caro referred to justice ideals in economic relations, rejecting totalitarian systems which used such slogans at that time. For years he has been leader of Polish Economic Society in Lviv.
