Abstract

The presented article is devoted to an urgent problem – the compliance of children and adolescents with tuberculosis infection. Preservation of foci of tuberculosis, the formation of drug resistance, including in children and adolescents, remain an urgent problem for doctors around the world. The success of treatment depends on many factors of a medical, social and psychological nature, including patient compliance with medical prescriptions and treatment regimen. The aim of the study was to study the severity of compliance of adolescents with tuberculosis infection. The result of the study was a description of indicators of social, emotional, behavioral and general compliance of adolescents with tuberculosis infection in comparison with the results of respondents in the control group. It was found that in older adolescents there is a low level of social and behavioral and a high level of emotional compliance. In adolescence, there is a low level of emotional and behavioral and a high level of social compliance. Thus, the position regarding treatment in adolescents with tuberculosis infection is not defined, they act according to the situation. They adhere to treatment, but deny its necessity. The success of treatment and interaction with the doctor depends on motivation. The behavior is erratic. The severity of the disease is underestimated, which leads to a violation of the rules for the implementation of medical recommendations and treatment regimen. The results of the study can be used by clinical psychologists, doctors, social workers in the process of treatment and rehabilitation of adolescents with tuberculosis infection in order to increase the effectiveness of treatment and cure.
