Abstract
The article is the first to analyze the most representative examples of fairy tale prose by Leonid Andreev. As the study showed, even the frequency with which the writer resorted to a literary fairy tale at different periods of his work, allows us to conclude that the choice and importance of this genre is important and not accidental.
