APPLICATION OF FOREIGN STATES PRACTICE IN THE PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION

Most of our population believes that corruption crimes don't harm. That is why it is no wonder that the majority decides to solve certain problems with corruption. Social polls show that over 80% of Ukrainian citizens consider corruption a characteristic of our society. The article examines the practice of preventing corruption in countries such as Denmark, New Zealand, Singapore, Finland, Japan and Sweden. Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index 2019 is considered. This indicator identifies two leaders from 180 countries with the lowest levels of corruption. Methods that effectively reduce corruption in other countries, as well as foreign programs aimed at combating corruption and bribery, have been identified. Among the main ones: 1. programs on the social and legal culture of foreign countries in which corruption is condemned and encouraged by the public, public services and officials to act honestly and openly; 2. training programs for citizens in the field of anti-corruption legislation; 3. implementation of a set of measures for journalistic investigation of corruption crimes of the media. It is proved that, despite the absence of a single codified act in the field of combating corruption, as well as specialized anti-corruption bodies of most countries, though partially, it still manages to overcome such a negative social phenomenon as corruption. The conclusion is made about the necessity and importance of borrowing international experience in the fight against corruption in order to build an anti-corruption system in Ukraine. To do this, we need to take into account the strong political will of the senior leadership of the states that are able to fight corruption.
