Abstract
Each culture has its own way to honor the deceased people. This paper aims to study the concept, the origin, the categories and the social impact of the culture honoring the deceased people in the life of Vietnamese families. It has also analyzed the achievements and shortcomings of the previous studies and offered some recommendations for further studies.
