Estrategias de comunicación para la construcción de paz territorial en el Magdalena Medio

The seedbed “Re-creating the dream of peace” belonging to the Faculty of Communication Sciences of UNIMINUTO has the interest of linking academia with social organizations working for peace in different ways in territories. The main objective is to support the processes from relevant research to provide them from the field of communication. Currently, the Hotbed is associated with the Program for Development and Peace of Magdalena Medio (PDPMM), sup-porting the research referring the short-term situation the economic situation that the program, particularly, is in the field of communication.The PDPMM is a social organization that “emerged as the result of an initiative promoted by the Human Rights Committee of the Trade Union of Workers of Petroleum Industry USO and the Colombian oil company Ecopetrol and with the support of the Diocese of Barrancabermeja and the Center for Research and Popular Education CINEP” (web PDPMM- 2016). The encounter between the seed and the PDPMM, comes the proposal of perform a re-search in relation on the process of evolution that have taken of communication during the 20 years of its existence in the conflict. The purpose is learn lessons that allows us enable them to think how to approach communication in the territorial peace and the new post-deal scenario presented in the country.
