Abstract

The article deals with the influence of fashion, kitsch, subculture on the formation of social behavior and musical preferences of youth. Actually, in condition of our fundamental renewal of all spheres of our society, its national revival the pedagogical science faces the new demands and standards, among which the most important are problems of skills formation, of individual's self organization (self-education, self-development, self-up bringing); the need in acquiring, cultural, spiritual and moral values, common to mankind including heritage of Ukrainian nation, national culture and morality; development of national consciousness and social activity; cultivation of a culture of behavior and communication. Nowadays, music is the greatest passion of the present young generation that absorbed it completely. At the young age interest to popular "mass" music dominates so much that interest to other genres is often disappeared completely. Folklore, classical music is frequently sounded in utilitarian use: like music in advertising, as a ringtone on mobile phones. It is observed the hypertrophy, firstly, of entertaining hedonistic function of music art as opposed to moral, educational or cognitive value of music. In such an atmosphere, there are problems with the affirmation of the spiritual values of the national world outlook. We are all alike, both by the way of life and by our habits. Moreover, we are under the influence of fashion, media, public opinion and follow certain rules. Young people, as the most sensitive and receptive group, are the first to perceive new forms of leisure activities with all positive and negative phenomena. These are the children of the era of globalization, the Internet and mobile communication. They cannot be completely satisfied by the existing common entertainments and ways of spending time. The advantage is given to consumer preferences over creative ones. And young people make up their own way, uniting into various groups and movements that are inherent their own subculture.
