Abstract
Modern development and reformation of the Ukrainian educational system in general and the professional pedagogical in particular is impossible without taking into account the tendencies of development of education in the past. It is essential for it enables us to use the best achievements of the past to prevent future mistakes. Analysis of historical and pedagogical archives testifies to the fact that the issue of education in Transcarpathia cannot be viewed without taking into account political, economic and common cultural events and processes that took place at that time. To achieve the tasks set forward the following research methods were used: retrospective analysis and synthesis of archive and modern printed materials on the issue under research that enables us to observe the dynamic character of the process of developing professional pedagogical education in Transcarpathia in the second half of the XVIII – early ХХ century; comparative method to compare, differentiate between common and specific features in the development of pedagogical education in the period under review; method of systematizing and theoretical generalization of the material under investigation; content-analysis of scientific sources, state regulatory documents, periodicals, and methodical literature. The study of historical and methodological issues of professional pedagogical education in Transcarpathia in the second half of the XVIII – early ХХ century fosters systematization of the accumulated knowledge and, therefore, enriches the theory and practice of pedagogical education. The theoretical provisions and conclusions drawn from the theme under research open up the perspective for further scientific research in the field of history of establishment and development of professional pedagogical education.
