Problems of training of teachers in modern pedagogics

The article deals with the problems of teacher training in the context of modern educational changes. To reveal actual problems of teacher training that Ukrainian scientists analyze and identify possible ways to address them is its goal. The basic requirements for the implementation of person-centred education in high school are considered. The approaches of scientists for identifying the ways of ensuring a new level of teacher training are characterized. Is is determined that the priority of modernization of education in Ukraine is its continuity. The problem of person-centred training of future professionals is illuminated. Multi-variant techniques and technologies, the ability to organize studying simultaneously at different levels of complexity are the most important features of this training. Particular attention is given to the introduction of competence approach in higher education. The problems of quality of student teaching practice, technological preparation of future teachers, including the formation of the ICT competencies of teachers are given. Computer literacy should be part of future school teacher training. The author focuses on the importance of formation of ethnic and cultural space in higher education todevelop national consciousness, social and cultural values of students and their readiness to use the elements of ethnic culture in the school educational process. In terms of transition of secondary school on inclusive form of education it is important to focus on the need of revising the content of curricula and teacher training programs and preparation of teaching and training materials to work with special educational needs pupils.
