Abstract

This research aimed to analyze how the pedagogical coordinator contributes to the development of the teaching-learning process through the operationalization of teaching work at school. The specific objectives corresponded to: understanding how the pedagogical coordinator works with teachers and students; verifying how learning is reaching the student, whether it is being pleasurable, whether the student is acquiring knowledge, whether the pedagogical practices are articulated in the construction of knowledge. As a theoretical framework, we base ourselves on: Alves (2007), Franco (2008), Vasconcelos (2006), among others. The methodology underlying our research is a qualitative approach, based on field research with a pedagogical coordinator from a public institution located in the city of Caraúbas/RN. As an instrument for data collection, we conducted an interview with our research participant. The results show that the pedagogical coordinator must tofigure of fundamental importance inthe school environment, and that his role must be itinerant and in constant dialogue with both teachers and students, he must be susceptible to change and able to make critical suggestions and new ideals to be developed at school.
