Abstract
At the beginning of the 21st century, Ukrainian musicologists took an interest in studying the history of music education of children and youth in foreign countries. Poland is the closest to Ukraine in terms of national traditions, culture and the Slavic mentality. Despite complex political and economic problems during this period, music pedagogy scientists actively conducted research on the modernization of the system of music education of students. This has led to intensified publication of scientific and methodological manuals for music teachers. The innovative experience of foreign musicologists and music teachers (E. Jaques-Dalcroze, D. Kabalevsky, Z. Kodaly, C. Orff, etc.) was introduced into the system of school education.
