Abstract
The paper clarifies the categorical apparatus used in studying the quality of life of the population. The parameters of assessing the quality and standard of living of the population are presented. The definitions of “fairly good quality of life”, “an average standard of living” are defined. The main tasks of ensuring a fairly good quality of life are identified.
