METHODOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES FOR EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT FOR INNOVATIVE ACTIVITIES OF ENTERPRISES

One of the main tasks currently facing Ukrainian enterprises is the activation of their innovative activities. Such activation should include an increase in the scope of research and development being carried out and an increase in the volume of innovative products produced and sold by domestic enterprises. At the same time, there are various obstacles in the way of intensification of the innovative activity of business entities, overcoming which may require the provision of external support to enterprises. In this way, support can be provided, in particular, by the entities of the innovative infrastructure. However, the involvement of these subjects in the innovation process at enterprises may require companies to incur sufficiently large expenses. Therefore, when developing projects that involve the receipt of services from innovative infrastructure entities, enterprises must first assess the economic efficiency and establish the feasibility of taking measures for such receipt. In turn, such assessment should be based on appropriate methodological principles. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to develop methodological principles for evaluating the effectiveness of infrastructural support for innovative activities of enterprises. The grouping of the types of entities of the innovation infrastructure of enterprises and other participants in the innovation process was carried out according to such characteristics as: the result of the activity, the stage of the innovation process, the relationship to a specific participant in the innovation process, the nature of the activity, the place in the innovation system of the state. A sequence of actions has been developed regarding the assessment of efficiency and the formation of infrastructural support for innovative activities of enterprises. The main directions are identified, according to which the justification of decisions regarding the involvement of certain entities of the innovative infrastructure by enterprises should be carried out in order to help these enterprises carry out innovative activities. A generalizing indicator for evaluating the efficiency and expediency of infrastructural support for innovative activity has been constructed. The use of the proposed indicator when justifying the involvement of certain subjects of infrastructure provision in the implementation of innovative activities at enterprises will provide an opportunity to increase the effectiveness of the course of innovation processes at these enterprises.
