THE PROCESS OF COLLECTIVE INTERACTION AS A MEANS OF DEVELOPING CIVIC COMPETENCIES OF PRIMARY EDUCATION STUDENTS

Abstract

Introduction. Modern education can't be aloof from all important social transformations and processes, because they lead to awareness of the value of modern civic education. Concepts such as human rights, equality, responsibility, democracy, respect for human dignity, and respect for diversity have become precisely those concepts that are discussed not only by human rights defenders but also by elementary school students because the students of the New Ukrainian School implement their ideas in practical situations using interactive methods civil rights and freedoms. Purpose. The article aims to analyze collective interaction as one of the ways of organizing the educational process for the formation of civic competencies in primary education, which creates conditions for active joint educational activities of primary education students in the conditions of the New Ukrainian School. Methods. The leading research methods are the analysis and generalization of theoretical aspects problems of analyzing effective methods of active learning in the lessons «I explore the world» in primary school; raised the issue of the need to transition from a knowledge-oriented learning paradigm to an activity-based one through the use of pedagogical techniques and technologies. Results. The article embodies the problem of the value of modern civic education for junior high school students and highlights its main concepts in elementary school: human rights, equality, responsibility, democracy, respect for human dignity, and respect for diversity. The content of the concept of civic competence of primary education learners is revealed as the ability to understand and effectively implement civil rights and duties for the development of a democratic civil society and to adhere to values. The essence of the tasks for the development of civic competencies is defined and the main ideas for the teacher that will help to raise a conscious student are summarized. Collective interaction has been analyzed as one of the methods of organizing the educational process for the formation of civic competencies in primary education, which creates conditions for active joint educational activities of primary education students in the conditions of the New Ukrainian School. The advantages of collective interaction, which can be considered both as a socialization of students and as an opportunity for the realization and development of a citizen in society, are emphasized. Originality. The essence of the tasks for the development of civic competencies is determined and the main ideas for the teacher, which will help to raise a conscious student, are summarized. Collective interaction has been analyzed as one of the methods of organizing the educational process for the formation of civic competencies in primary education, which creates conditions for active joint educational activities of primary education students in the conditions of the New Ukrainian School. Emphasis is placed on the main essence of the process of collective interaction, namely: learning together, and not the joint performance of activities. The stages of collective interaction technology are separated and their essence is analyzed. Conclusion. Options for organizing collective interaction and organizing group work through the game are proposed, because games in pairs allow for solving collective cognitive tasks, and provide for the distribution of roles and control over the results by the participants themselves. Several games for organizing collective interaction are presented. The advantages of collective interaction, which can be considered both as a socialization of students and as an opportunity for the realization and development of a citizen in society, are emphasized. It was found that only the coordinated collective efforts of the management, students and teachers, parents and the community will contribute to the formation of civic competencies in the New Ukrainian School.
