Abstract

Introduction. The article outlines the origin of such a form of education as master classes, in particular the emergence of master classes in various areas of folk art. Considered the individual aspects of preparation for conducting ethnic master classes on making a knotted doll. Purpose. The article aims to analyse the features of ethno-master classes for different groups according to their age, education and other characteristics; systematization of the technology for conducting ethnic master classes for different contingents of students Methods. An analysis of the specifics of the organization was carried out (preparation of demonstration samples, a list of recommended scientific and methodical literature, thematic video stories or slide presentations, exhibitions; selection of educational activity objects during the master class, blanks, materials and tools, workplaces for participants, etc.), conducting (a story, a conversation, an interview with the craftsmen about the national colour, symbolism, peculiarities of shaping the folk toy; demonstration of the stages of making a knotted doll, performing exercises with the support of the master, etc.) and reflection of ethno-master classes for different continents of participants, in particular: for professional folk art masters; for future technology teachers and specialists in the artistic direction; for future specialists of various other specialities, but interested in folk art; for junior school students; for mixed groups during mass events and street festivals. Results. It was found that in general there are certain differences in the technology of conducting ethno- master classes for different groups of participants, according to the level of their training, mastery of manual skills with textile materials, the degree of interest in the topic and the practical component of the educational activity; taking into account the speciality and specialization of the professional activity of the participants of the master class, their age characteristics, as well as the features of the equipment of the site where the event takes place. Originality. The article focuses on the fact that conducting ethnic master classes promotes the popularization of folk art, introduces the national flavour of folk creativity, and provides training in traditional technological techniques of various types of folk crafts. The main difference of the ethno-master class is networking – informal, communication with the master and between participants, in the process of which the speakers are, for the most part, masters of folk art, artists who are carriers of elements of the intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine. Conclusion. During ethnic master classes on knotted dolls, students develop their creativity, they develop openness to creative experimentation, and their horizons of knowledge expand. In today's difficult conditions for the Ukrainian state, the virtual form of conducting ethnic master classes has acquired great importance; the technology for conducting this has several distinctive features and requires detailed study.
