Abstract

Introduction. The importance and influence of digital technologies on teaching students in music lessons are explored in the article. In the context of the rapid development of information and communication technologies in modern society, the use of digital tools in education is becoming increasingly important. The article deals with different aspects of using digital tools in music and art education, the possibility of such technologies in enriching the educational process in order to make it more interesting and accessible to students, which will ultimately contribute to their further creative development. The purpose of the paper is to study and analyse the influence of modern digital technologies, their advantages and the possibilities of using them to improve the quality of student learning in music education. Methods. In order to achieve the objective, theoretical methods were used, in particular: logical-systemic (allowing the system of music education to be considered as a complex system with interrelated elements, the analysis of which provides an understanding of how the introduction of information and communication technologies can affect the entire educational system); structural and functional analysis (changing the functions of various aspects of music education through the use of information and communication technologies), as well as synthesis, forecasting and generalisation of data. Results. One of the key competences for the New Ukrainian School is information and digital competence, which includes the confident and at the same time critical use of information and communication technologies for creating, searching, processing, exchanging information at work, in public space and in private communication. It should be noted that the practical experience of teachers in this field is spontaneous and, unfortunately, still ahead of the level of theoretical awareness of the new realities. However, some digital contours of modern music education at school have already become quite clear, which makes it possible to assess the most obvious trends. A modern computer connected to the Internet provides more opportunities for obtaining information. This approach can help to improve the quality of teaching and performance assessment. Originality. The paper highlights and characterises for the first time the variability and flexibility in the choice of materials, methods and approaches that can be used by teachers in the educational process of music teaching. Conclusion. If technology is not used carefully, it can become a mere means of entertainment rather than a means of facilitating learning. It should be noted that multimedia editions for use in music lessons can be different according to the needs of a specific lesson, the ability level to apply the relevant program by a teacher and the presence of certified programs in the primary education system.
