The Degree of Dependence of Local Satellite Channels on the Jordan News Agency Bulletin from the Point of View of Jordanian Journalists

Abstract
The study aims to know the degree of Jordanian journalists exposure to local Jordanian satellite channels, and the extents of dependence of these channels on the Jordan News Agency bulletin from the journalists' point of view by using the media audience survey method to a sample of (287) Jordanian journalists registered with the Syndicate of Journalists. The study concluded that the largest proportion of the respondents (39.4%) sometimes follow the local satellite channels, and they are followed by those who rarely follow local satellite channels, with a rate of (38%). "Political news" ranked first among the topics and news on which local satellite channels adopt from the Jordan News Agency bulletin, according to the respondents' point of view, followed by "news released by the Prime Ministry, and the results proved that there are no differences in the degree of dependence of local satellite channels on the Jordan News Agency bulletin from the Jordanian journalists' point of view, due to the variable of gender and years of experience, and that there are differences due to the variable of occupational capacity.
