Yöntemsiz Bilimsellik, Bilimsel Yöntemde Muhafazakârlık: Feyerabend’ın Güncel İşlevi* Scientificity Without Method, Conservatism On Scientific Method: Feyerabend’s Actual Function

After Enlightment, scientific thought, passing through various stages lost of being both science and thought. During this process, 1980’s in particular, has been a breaking point in terms of scientific method. Views of Paul Feyerabend has turned out to be symbol of rebellion against the method, rejection of any kind of scientific method and widely accepted in the field of social science for nearly over thirhy years. The study argued that views of Feyerabend have not caused the freedom and democratization as he mentioned, conversely have overlapped with the main inducement of conservative thought that refuses reason and progress, and that have an important role in the rise of conservatism today. It may clearly be seen that works of and thought which rejects the method of Feyerabend how re-produced the conservative ideology with liberalism, and particularly how used as means of domination like by neo-liberalism and postmodernism.
