In our history, the critical-investigative thought manifested itself in many fields. ‘Conservatism’ is a concept that was used against the attitude called ‘reformist’ and its source can be dated back pre-Reform period. Today this concept has revived and has had a quite different meaning from its old usage. In this article, the connection between conservatism, science and The Council of Higher Education issue is discussed.
