Abstract
The term “Ekümenopolis” which was coined by the Greek city planner Constantinos Doxiadis is also name of İmre Azem’s movie, made in 2011. With its share of urban transformation, İstanbul were faced with the rapid changes and on the other hand many families who had to leave their homes are continuing to be an army of victims that was left behind the neo-liberal policies. In this study, the dynamics of the urban transformation of Istanbul was examined axis of the problems of housing, transportation and social disintegration.
