Abstract
The article examines the reflection of the modern language situation in India in the Internet space. It examines the ratio of official languages in various fields: online dictionaries, newspapers, TV channels, radio stations. The relevance of the article is due to the focus of modern sociolinguistics on the study of the dynamics of the language situation in a multilingual society. The purpose of the study is to analyse the language situation in India using the method of quantitative analysis. The article is based on the alalysis of the scientific works of reserchers engaged in the study of the linguistic situation in India. The language policy of a multinational country is aimed at ensuring a balance of multilingualism in accordance with the national interests of this country. The role of the Internet space in this process is significant. An analysis of the dynamics of official languages in the Internet space is presented. The results of the study reflect the linguistic situation of India within the studied areas.
