Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the feminization of profession names in the German language, with an emphasis on the ways of forming feminitives, their grammatical and sociolinguistic features. The relevance of this study lies in the increasing number of women working in various sectors of the economy and the emergence of new professions. The analysis examines the historical context of the emergence of feminitives, the influence of feminist linguistics, and current trends in the use of gender-neutral forms. The work is based on comparative analysis and word-formation methods. The material is supported by examples from modern language practice and official sources, in the amount of 80 lexical units expressing feminized forms.
