Abstract
Second hand book tarding had been an important profession in İstanbul. Bibliopoles, fulfilling their professions in the market composed of specific shops in Bayezid, were increasing their popularity especially in the second half of 19th century. And consequently their market became a place of meeting for intellectual people.
