Abstract
The article presents results of a study of effects of polypropylene mesh on connective and fatty tissue of epiploon and peritoneum of small intestines in long-term post-operative period. We observed firm adherence of implanted polypropylene mesh to fatty tissues of epiploon in experimental dogs in long-term post-operative period (3 months), absence of alternative changes in mesh or its parts covered with peritoneum, which in turn prevented post-operative adhesions.
