Abstract
The problem of disorders associated with participation in hostilities ("war syndromes"), remains relevant over a hundred years. In the difficult history of the study of these syndromes have proposed various hypotheses and theories based on the principles of primary somatic factors, mental or social processes. This article discusses the known somatic hypothesis "war syndromes," taking into account the physical, chemical factors, the effect of infectious agents, particularly the immunological status, etc. However, at this moment there is no conclusive evidence of any preemptive effect of one factor on the occurrence of disease.
