CONTINUITY OF TRADITIONS AS AN IMPERATIVE

Over its 25-year long existence, many generations of artists who are now greatly contributing to the promotion and development of Kazakh national song art, have been trained by the Department of Folk Singing, Faculty of Folk Music of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory. Among major contributors to the establishment and development of the Department there are well-known Kazakh cultural figures, such as Almas Almatov, Kayrat Baybosynov, Mekes Toreshev, Kalamkas Orasheva, Kalampyr Rakhimova, Zhaksylyk Sarsengaliev, Kapash Kulysheva, Askerbek Enkebaev and many others.
