The Use of A Created Vocabulary Workbook Based on the Mnemonic Strategies to Enhance Pratomsuksa 4 Students’ Vocabulary Skills: Smart junior 4 Vocabulary Lessons

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to find an effective learning activity for assisting students in Pratomsuksa 4 to remember English vocabulary following effective regulation 80/80 and to compare their levels of memorizing English vocabulary at before and after application of the Mnemonic Strategies. The sample used was 38 students from class 4/3 (using a cluster random sampling method) of Pratomsuksa 4, 1st semester, academic year 2014 of Demonstration school, Khonkaen University, Khonkaen province. The total six management plans in assisting to develop English vocabulary learning for Pratomsuksa 4 students were applied. Multiple choice test of 40 items and 5 items of practical test, all together 45 items, were used. Statistical analyses were mean, percentage, standard deviation and t-testing. The results revealed that the efficiency of English vocabulary learning activity using Mnemonic Strategies applied from Smart junior 4 for Pratomsuksa 4 student was 84.56/82.16. And the difference among students in remembering and understanding of English vocabulary at stages of before and after experiencing with the Mnemonic Strategies showed highly significant (>0.01). In conclusion English learning activity by Mnemonic Strategies adapted from Smart junior 4 was effective in helping students to remember and to understand vocabulary better.
