SOURCES AND EVOLUTION OF CHINA’S INVESTMENT ATTRACTIVENESS

Abstract
This article aims at studying the sources and evolution of the investment activities of the People's Republic of China. Considerable attention is paid to major factors that contributed to the rapid and effective development of the investment potential of the country. The subject of the article is the investment activities of the PRC, including measures related to improving the attractiveness of the Chinese economy in the region in the sphere of the country's investment attraction and power. The aim of the article is defined as the study of the sources and evolution of the investment activities of China. To achieve the objective of the article, theoretical methods of scientific research, in particular analysis, classification and synthesis are used. The Article aims at solving such research questions as: conducting an analysis of the current state of Investments activities of the PRC; exploring ways of attracting foreign capital in China's economy and its outflow from China; determining the factors contributing to the rapid and, above all, effective development of investment activities in China. The article analyzes the current status and the characteristics of China's inve-vestment activities, studies the basic methods and ways of attracting foreign capital in the economy of China and its outflow, the factors that contribute to the rapid and, above all, effective development of investment activities in China. In particular, it was found that the capital inflow and outflow volumes are constantly increasing, in spite of the recent global economic crisis and slow pace of global economic growth. The focus is made on the fact that the investment attractiveness and power of China contributes to a number of factors such as, for example, the balanced policy of the Central Bank, favorable taxation regime for investors, formation and functioning of special economic zones, the high level of infrastructure development, the availability of resources including cheap labor, the openness of the Chinese economy, etc. In China, a number of industries that allow an infusion of foreign capital, and those in which it is limited or even prohibited are determined. The state identifies several key characteristics of modern investment policy in China, such as the constant revision and change of the list of industries to which investment infusion is desirable, limited and prohibited that indicates the transition from quantitative growth of attracted investments to qualitative; a shift from preferential investment policy to the equitable one; establishment and operation of a variety of special economic zones. The results of the research can be applied in both the theoretical and practical sections because the positive experience of China may be useful not only for Ukraine but also for any other developing country.
