Abstract

The communication through wireless sensor network is demand of every technology that implements various types of sensor nodes with different occurrences. The conservation of energy is the main issue in all types of wireless sensor networks. To reduce the consumption of energy, duty cycle approach is used. Most of the duty cycles use a common cycle length to achieve the optimum results and maintain synchronization between the adjacent nodes. There are various protocols used by researchers that does not need same duty cycle but could not be able to find the optimum results. In this paper we will discuss how duty cycle length having counterpart 7, 13 and 21 helps in saving the energy and increase the lifetime of the network. Here, the process of simulation are used to evaluate the energy consumed and saved .In each structure the information of duty cycle length in the mote platforms is analyzed
