Abstract
Centrifugal compressors are used in various fields, however, due to the large volume of natural gas production in Russia, a large number of such compressors are used in the oil and gas sector. Equipment reliability and efficiency are critical factorsin production, so analyzing the causes of failure of centrifugal compressors is an actual problemThe article presents the results of VT6S titanium resistance for hydro abrasive wear. This type of material used for compressor wheels. The need for this hasbeen investigated due to the occurrence of disturbances in the operation of separators during the production of natural gas, which leads to the ingress of hydrocarbons, water and mechanical particles into the working area of the compressors. The use of titanium alloy wheels makes it possible to avoid corrosion damage, but the effect of mechanical particles on the water-abrasive resistance of the equipment requires additional research. The results presented in the article make it possible to evaluate the performance of the titanium alloy in environments with different concentrations of mechanical particles.
