SECURITY COMPONENT OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES OF DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

Abstract

The article identifies the economic component of developing countries' national security strategies in global environment. A comparative-historical analysis of the structure and content of strategic and programmatic documents is conducted that define and regulate the national security of developing countries. Research has been done on the economic component of developing countries' security strategies. The vast majority of countries have insufficient experience in the formulation and implementation of the economic component of national security. The differentiation of national security policies is defined in the most economically developed countries. It is determined that the strategies of national economic security of developing countries are differentiated by their structure and components. Each strategy takes into account the specifics of the national economy and security environment of country. At the same time, the impact of globalization processes and, accordingly, the common determinants underlying the common components of national security strategies, such as cybersecurity, counter-terrorism and climate change. A comparative analysis of the economic component of national security strategies for developed and developing countries is conducted. The criteria for classification the economic component of national security strategies have been determined, which include a basic program-strategic document regulating national security; the degree of incorporation of the economic component into the program-strategic security documents; strategic goal of economic security management; major threats to economic security according to the strategic documents. The developed comparative profile of the economic component of the national security strategy makes it possible to carry out strategic grouping of countries with different types of socio-economic systems. The degree of homogeneity or heterogeneity of strategic planning of economic security of states was determined, which should be taken into account when developing national strategies for ensuring economic security.
