EDUCATIONAL MEDIA SPACE AS A MEANS OF FORMING THE DIGITAL CULTURE OF PEDAGOGICAL COLLEGE STUDENTS

Abstract

Introduction. Formation of digital culture of students of pedagogical colleges is one of the priority directions of modern pedagogical science and practice. Confirmation of this can be found in the main legislative and regulatory documents governing the content of education of students of pedagogical colleges, the main result of which is the training of a professional junior bachelor. Considering the laws and regulations on professional higher education, it can be concluded, that today there is an urgent need of society for diverse specialists who have strong knowledge in various fields, and they must have a high level of digital culture, due to the fact that the informatization of society has led to a number of major changes in education. Purpose. The aim of the article is to analyze the modern understanding of the pedagogical phenomenon of «educational media space» and substantiate the possibilities of educational media space as a condition for improving the effectiveness of digital culture of students of pedagogical colleges. Methods. The study used the following methods: analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature, synthesis, induction, deduction, generalization, abstraction. Originality. The article considers the peculiarities of increasing the efficiency of digital culture formation of students of pedagogical colleges. The analysis of modern understanding of the pedagogical phenomenon «educational media space» is carried out, the possibilities of educational media space as conditions of increase of efficiency of formation of digital culture of students of pedagogical colleges are substantiated. The leading functions of the educational media space are singled out: organizational function; technical function; social and developmental function. The content of the components of the educational media space is considered: professional-didactic, subject-personal, information-content, organizational-communication, media-technological. Results. Professional-didactic component of «educational media space» - determines the content (goals, results) and organizational aspects (forms, means, methods, principles) of the educational process in the educational media space. The subject-personal component of the «educational media space» is that the educational media space is built on the basis of taking into account the capabilities, abilities and individual psychological characteristics of students of pedagogical colleges. Information and content component of the «educational media space» – includes information sources through which the educational process is implemented in the educational media space (educational and methodological complexes, basic educational programs, curricula). Organizational and communication component of the «educational media space» - determines the features of the interaction of teachers, students, parents, representatives of the administration of the institution in the educational media space. Media-technological component of «educational media space» - reflects modern technologies and a set of technical means of educational media space. Conclusion. Summing up the analysis of the modern understanding of the pedagogical phenomenon of «educational media space» and substantiation of the possibilities of educational media space as a condition for improving the digital culture of students of pedagogical colleges, summarizing the results of research and development of scientists and teachers, we can conclude, that it is an effective component of the pedagogical system, the implementation of the functions of which ensures the achievement of educational effects that contribute to the problems of digital culture of students of pedagogical colleges. Prospects for further research in this area are seen in the justification of the model and technology to increase the effectiveness of the formation of digital culture of students of pedagogical colleges.
