The book "Problems of implementing regional standards for the protection of human rights in the political practice of states" contains a rich legal and comparative material, ways of the implementation of regional standards in Poland, Russian Federation, Ukraine, Slovakia, Lithuania and Moldova. The deliberations concern standards developed within the Council of Europe system and in particular created by the European Court of Human Rights under the European Convention on Human Rights. It is also important to implement EU standards, referring to the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and to the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union. The book show how these standards affect the shape of national legislation in sensitive areas such as past settlements, euthanasia, sexual orientation discrimination and Muslim women's rights in Europe. The current dimension is concerned with the protection of human rights in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
