Abstract

The utilization of wind and solar radiation as an energy source to reduce dependence on fossil fuel use, reduce operating costs in the long term, and supports the conservation of natural resources. This submission applies the use of renewable energy sources to pump water used as a source of irrigation of crops of fruit and vegetables on an organic farm in Balai Percontohan Pertanian (BPP) Ngasinan, Kelurahan Beji, Kecamatan Nguntoronadi, Kabupaten Wonogiri. Hybrid technology combines wind turbines and solar cells to provide power supply to the pumps that lift water with the Total Dynamic Head (TDH) 12 meters. Hybrid system of wind turbines and solar cells able to turn on the water pump, so that the pump can drain water from the well to the water reservoir. The drip irrigation system from reservoir to plant cause dragon fruit plant always moist, thereby reducing the risk of drought and crop disease.
