Abstract
In Early Russia various kinds of applied art tell us of traditions of Orthodoxy. Since built in prominent places the churches and cathedrals were in fact centers of culture. Church art was аn ideal of beauty for village artisans. And every step taken by Russian was accompanied by prayer and the Christian outlook imbued his whole life. Consequently folk art in Russia connects with traditions of church decorative art of the Middle Ages. And Russian folk art belongs to the sphere of spiritual life of the peasantry. So figurine of a woman, figurine of a horseman, figurine of a horse and other persons of Russian toy of clay are connected with traditions of Orthodoxy.
