Abstract

Leading directions of evolution and trends in the development of pedagogical education in European countries are analyzed. It is found out that it is almost impossible to modernize pedagogical education of Ukraine without an analysis of development of pedagogical education in the EU. It is proved that to study the trends of pedagogical education in the EU from the point of view of their diversity and common character one should also determine and specify the integration factors of this social phenomenon. It is emphasized that close attention to the quality of education is explained by the transition of most European national educational systems to the methodology of designing education focused on results of learning and their monitoring. It was found that with the development of ESHE there is a gradual transition of the focus from the external evaluation of the quality of higher education to the institutional level, transition attention from the learning process itself to the competence approach with primary focus on professional and personal preparedness and, first of all, to the employment of graduates as a criterion of a result of learning. Attention is focused on the fact that despite of the processes of internationalization and globalization of social life, covering social relations, science, culture and education, at the same time old traditions of various cultural-and-historical types of society, different civilizations, influencing the nature of pedagogical education are kept. It is studied that in most EU countries in education there dominate the ideas of humanization and continuity aimed at meeting human needs which are constantly increasing, "the centralization at a person", which provides a variety of types and kinds of modern higher education, its many variants and many models, orientation at result centered criteria of determining the content of training programs.
