Abstract
The aim of the work is to increase the effectiveness of treatment of patients with cosmetic defects of the anterior abdominal wall by introducing new techniques for simultaneous operations in combination with lipoabdominoplasty. Materials and methods. The technique that de-scribed in the article has been used in 42 patients, ana-lyzed for this publication. Among them, 38 (90.5%) of the patients were female, four (9.5%) - male. The period of postoperative follow-up was 12 months. All patients were examined in the preoperative period according to the standards of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. All pa-tients underwent primary lipoabdominoplasty. Results and discussion. The average duration of the operative intervention was 170.2 ± 6.5 minutes. The volumes of liposuction averaged 1453.6 ± 36.2 ml. Vol-umes over 1000 ml were observed in 30 patients (71.4%). The total weight of the removed tissues in one patient (lipoaspirate and skin flap) was from 550 to 8.5 kg. In 4 patients were complications (9.5%), namely, 1 seroma (2.4%); ischemia of the umbilical stem appeared in 2 (4.8%) patients with large hernias, in which mesh grafts were used; hematoma, which required aspiration - 1 (2.4%); marginal necrosis of the central part of the prox-imal flap in 1 (2.4%) patient that was smoker. Conclusions. Lipoabdominoplasty is a relatively new, physiological and universal operation that reduces the risk of complications in the postoperative period, expands the indications for the selection of patients with obesity, and provides a better aesthetic result with a faster rehabilitation period.
