Institutional structure of the energy market of the Rostov region and innovative resources of enterprises: an empirical analysis

Abstract
Based on a statistical analysis of empirical data, the paper states the influence of the institutional structure of the market on the provision of electric energy, gas and steam; air conditioning for the formation of innovative resources of enterprises. Based on a sample of 151 enterprises operated in this market in 2017, the distribution of enterprises by type of economic activity and ownership has been constructed. The following average characteristics of enterprises for each classification group have been calculated: the valuation of the depreciation fund and its own innovative resources, the average return on assets and the size of assets per enterprise.It has been established that the largest and most profitable enterprises are in mixed ownership, in which the share of state property is absent. However, it is precisely those enterprises which according to their estimates have the largest size of their own potential innovative resources.
