Abstract

The article analyzes the concept of blended learning, the theoretical aspects of blended learning in future managers' training, the advantages and disadvantages of blended learning models in future managers' training. Blended learning is the combination of online learning and traditional learning, within which the learner acquires knowledge independently (online) and with the help of a teacher who acts as a facilitator (offline). Blended learning in future managers' training can be used in a form of Microlearning, which is a study of separate small sections, or short-term learning, education or training. Most often, this Microlearning is used in e-learning and related fields, as a new paradigm of learning in mediated environments at the micro level. The main blended learning models include: the rotational, face-to-face, self-blending, virtual enrichment, and flexible models. Blended learning in future managers' training should be based on a regular feedback from students. The feedback can be provided by means of teacher's own sites, mobile applications (such as Trello, Planiro, MeisterTask, Planner, Kaiten, Taskify), various programs and video telephony platforms (Zoom, Skype, Big blue button (BBB), Discord), and Web-services (such as Classroom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx, Сlass Dojo, and Classtime). It is argued that the use of virtual enrichment model in future managers' training should be based on various Web-services (Classroom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx, Class Dojo, Classtime) and innovative practices, such as Web-surfing and/or Film-coaching. The main advantages of blended learning models include the possibility of data collection and adaptation to the model, group training, redistribution of educational information resources among students, students' development of independent learning and self-control skills. Among the main shortcomings of blended learning in future managers' training are teachers' reluctance to use e-learning, low level of teachers and students' IT skills, dependence on the equipment and the Internet, strict timing of tasks and the need for unlimited Internet access. The authors note that Ergo learning, which is gaining importance as an innovative model, may be a continuation of blended learning.
