Abstract
The idea of a nation-internal state's security may be defined as the apparatuses engaged in preserving its territorial boundaries and safeguarding its sovereignty. Internal security is a must in India, given the diversity of religious, ethnic, regional, and linguistic identities. Organized Crimes Against Civilians, Left-Wing Extremism (LWE), Cross-Border Terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), Militancy in the North-East, and Drugs and Narcotics Trafficking are all major threats to the country's internal security, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs' annual report for 2017-18. The purpose of this study is to examine the issues that India's internal security faces. The majority of the sources utilized in this article were secondary.
