Abstract

This study explores the factors and the roles that encourage censorship in dubbing cartoon's songs as well as its types. It also demonstrates an analysis of dubbed cartoon's songs produced by both the U.S.A, and Japan. Moreover, it proposes solutions to overcome the problems that censorship entails. Our study seeks answers to the following inquiries: Can censorship create another artistic work that has a positive impact on a new audience? Is censorship considered a prohibition, or is it an adaptation?
