Abstract
A clinical case of long QT syndrome diagnosed in female patient aged 66 years with a history of clinical death and syncope is presented. During the daily monitoring of electrocardiogram ventricular flutter was revealed after previous lengthening of QT interval more than 500 ms. Endocardial electrophysiological study was performed and the paroxysm of polymorphic ventricular tachycardia was induced. Epinephrine QT stress test was the paradoxical QT response. The patient was treated pharmacologically with beta-adrenoblockers. The implantation of a cardioverter-defibrillator was performed for secondary prevention of sudden cardiac death.
