Literary Translation between Aesthetic and Literal: The Novel “The child of Sands” by Tahar Ben Jelloun Translated into Arabic

Literary translation is one of the most important types of translation and the most difficult in general, and preserving the aesthetic characterics and features of the text remains one of its most important challenges. And linguistic and aesthetic to be constructed and transferred to the target language. Given the importance of literary translation and the problems facing the literary translator, this study came to explain how I translated The child of Sands by Moroccan writer Tahar ben Jelloun and compared it with original text written in French, which was translated by Muhammed Al Shorki. We will try to clarify the translator's work, which is to preserve the technical and aesthetic characteristics of the original text, in addition to searching for the mechanisms.
